Summer Sale

Shortly before school started my neighbors and I did something we call a Summer Sale. It’s kind of like a garage sale that only happens once every summer. My neighborhood has a lot of kids, and any kid that wants to participate in the Summer Sale makes something and brings it into my garage to sell on the day of the event. This year, we sold cookies, drinks, snow cones, snacks, bracelets, painted rocks, and lots more! There were so many people there, which made it really crowded. Kids took turns running the shops, so that everyone got to go shopping. It was a huge success! In the end we made $520!

We donated the money we made to Melissa, who used to have cancer. She came to our street so that we could give her the money and a big card. She teared up and said that we filled her bucket.

The sale was so much fun and it keeps getting bigger every time we do it. I’m so excited for our next one.
